Chatpoetry.com is an online, interactive community of writers and poets striving to improve their writing skills and to share their creative thoughts with others. Workshop your poems here and receive valuable and constructive critiques in a supportive atmosphere.

Chatpoetry.com is a non-stop online poetry workshop for beginners and experts alike. We encourage peer to peer critique. Critical commentary is expected, embraced, and all participants are expected to have the improvement of their craft as a primary goal. The goal is to get honest feedback from other poets to help each member improve as a writer. At the same time we encourage poets to critique the poem and not criticize the poet personally.

Poets here are from all over the world with many different backgrounds so we encourage poets to keep an open mind when reading poetry from members that do not share the same values or cultural background.

Three important things to think about before you jump in:
• Try to offer at least three critiques of others’ work for each poem you post.
• Thank those who critique your work, even if they trash it – which can and will happen.
• Don’t mess with the moderators who are working extremely hard to make this a constructive environment for those who wish to improve their writing.

Relax. Come in to share your thoughts, and creativity with all your poetry. Talk with other people who love poetry, in our poetry chat rooms and forums.
